F2English results summary is a full translation, not an excerpt5/5

Q1 FY3/2027 tanshin, 6 Aug 2026: the English 'Consolidated Financial Results for the Three Months Ended June 30, 2026' is 11 pages, the same as the Japanese 2027年3月期 第1四半期決算短信 (11). Both have the summary pages, the overview of results with a narrative for each of the three segments, financial position and forecast explanation, the balance sheet, P&L and comprehensive income, and the notes (going concern, equity, cash-flow note, segment note). The FY3/2026 year-end tanshin (11 May 2026) is 36 English pages against 34 Japanese. Its table of contents matches the Japanese line for line: the qualitative section with cash flows and outlook, the accounting-standards policy, all four statements, and every note from basis of preparation through financial instruments, securities, segments, per-share data and subsequent events, plus dividends policy and director changes. The whole tanshin, so 5. Source document →

F3Financial statements including notes available in English5/5

The latest-period English tanshin (Q1 FY3/2027, 6 Aug 2026) has the full quarterly balance sheet, income statement and comprehensive income statement, in thousands of yen. It also has the notes: going concern, significant changes in equity, the cash-flow note (no quarterly cash flow statement prepared, depreciation and goodwill amortisation given, as in the Japanese) and the segment note for both periods. The year-end English tanshin adds the statements of changes in equity and cash flows and the full notes. Full statements and notes for the latest period, so 5. Source document →

What the Japanese has and the English does not is the independent auditor's report and internal control audit report (Japanese p.112): complete but for the auditor's opinion. Source document →

F5Segment revenue and profit disclosed in English, consistent definitions5/5

There are three reportable segments: Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment, Medical Device and Laser Processing Machine. Every English tanshin gives net sales (external and intersegment) and segment profit for each. Q1 FY3/2027: semiconductor ¥15,133m sales and ¥2,126m profit, medical ¥680m and ¥132m, laser ¥369m and a ¥46m loss. Each quarter also has a segment narrative. The year-end note defines the segments (what each makes and sells) and the measurement basis (segment profit reconciles to operating profit), with segment assets, depreciation and capex. The March 2025 renaming of Fine Plastic to Medical Device was announced in English the same day ('Notice of Change in Reporting Segments', 27 Mar 2025). The decks and the .xlsx add sales by product group. Every period, definitions stated, so 5. Source document →

F6Multi-year financial data file (Excel or CSV) downloadable in English5/5

Every results period in the English IR Library and IR News has a 'Financial Results Supplementary Information' Excel workbook. Examples are 2025FY_annual_briefing_eng.xlsx (11 May 2026) and 2026Supplementary_Information_eng.xlsx (6 Aug 2026), with older ones back to FY2022. We read the FY2025 workbook inside the rendered page. It is bilingual, with six sheets. The Yearly sheet covers FY2018-FY2025 (eight years) plus the FY2026 forecast. It has P&L lines (orders, net sales, operating, ordinary and net profit, margins), balance sheet totals (total assets, net assets, equity ratio, ROE), cash flows (operating, investing, financing, period-end cash), per-share data (EPS, DPS, payout ratio), and capex, depreciation and R&D. It also has orders and sales by product group and by region. The Quarterly sheet gives the same lines by quarter for every year, and further sheets give quarterly orders and sales by product and region. Eight years of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and per-share data with product breakdowns, so 5. The balance sheet and cash flow are headline lines, not full statements. Source document →

F7Guidance disclosed in English with the basis explained5/5

The forecast and its basis are both in English. The FY3/2026 tanshin (11 May 2026) gives the FY3/2027 forecast (sales ¥64.0bn, OP and ordinary ¥10.24bn, net ¥7.0bn, EPS ¥93.30, with interim figures). Its 'Future forecast' section gives the market view: AI and physical AI, a tight general-purpose memory market driving capex, PLP mass production, and a rising compression share lifting margins. The English FY deck and presenter notes (11-12 May) give the FX assumption (US$1 = ¥155, with most transactions in yen). They also give the forecast by segment (semiconductor ¥48.43bn, medical, new business, laser +61.9% with the reason), a quarterly orders and sales outlook (¥15-17bn a quarter), a market outlook by region (China, Taiwan, Korea, Other Asia), and capex and dividend forecasts. Revisions are explained in English the same day as the Japanese: 'Notice Regarding Earnings Forecast Revision for the FY2025' (6 Feb 2026), the Q2 forecast-vs-actual notice (7 Nov 2025), and the FY deck p.5 comparing results with the revised forecast. All three assumption types, with revisions explained, so 5. Source document →

S1Medium-term management plan in English with numerical targets4/5

The current plan is the Second Mid-Term Management Plan (FY3/2026-FY3/2028). The English 'Notice Regarding the Formulation of a New Mid-Term Management Plan' with its deck (15 pp, the same as the Japanese 15) was posted 27 Mar 2025, the same day as the Japanese. It has the targets for 2028/3: net sales ¥71.0bn with segment targets (semiconductor ¥52.1bn, medical ¥2.8bn, new business ¥13.3bn, laser ¥2.8bn), OP ¥15.6bn, OPM 22%, ordinary ¥15.6bn, net ¥10.9bn, ROE 13% or more and a payout ratio of 20% or more. It also gives the TOWA Vision 2032 goal of ¥100bn sales and ¥25bn OP. The English Integrated Report 2025 repeats it. The targets are complete and current. But the Japanese side also published a 23-page 第二次中期経営計画説明会資料説明文(ノート) (presenter's script, 28 Mar 2025) and an on-demand video. The English side has no counterpart to the script. Whole plan without the supporting material, so 4. Source document →

S3English equity-story or investment-highlights page5/5

The English IR site has no 'why invest' page; 'For Individual Investors' is only a page of links. The English Integrated Report 2025 has a dedicated 'At a Glance' spread (printed pp. 5-6) and a 'Strengths of the TOWA Group' section (pp. 19-20). The At a Glance gives sales by segment, the global share of semiconductor molding equipment (TechInsights data), the number of subsidiaries and production bases, and the 'three pillars' of technology, support and global expansion; the strengths section quantifies the share rising from 59.3% to 64.8% over MTP we and compression sales growing about 1.5 times. Re-checked 21 Oct 2026 after the independent audit of 20 Oct: the rule allows a dedicated page or section, and the earlier 4 discounted the section for sitting inside the report. A dedicated section for investors with quantified strengths, so 5. Source document →

S4Growth drivers identified and quantified in English4/5

The drivers are named in English. Generative AI and data centres driving HBM and general-purpose memory investment, PLP (panel-level packaging) mass production from 2H, TOWA's compression molding (MUF), TSS after-sales on the installed base, and the tool business. Some are quantified. The MTP II deck gives 2028/3 sales targets by segment (semiconductor +30.6% to ¥52.1bn, new business +39.1% to ¥13.3bn) and a global molding-equipment share of 59% rising to 63%. It also says compression sales expanded 1.5 times and that over 3,500 delivered units support the renewal business. The FY3/2026 deck gives the FY3/2027 segment forecasts and a qualitative regional order outlook. But PLP, HBM and compression are not sized as a market or as a contribution to the target. Named, some quantified, so 4. Source document →

S5Results-briefing transcripts or Q&A published in English5/5

The Japanese side has published one results-briefing Q&A, the 質疑応答集 for the FY3/2026 briefing (2025FY_qa.pdf, 9 pp, dated and created 15 May 2026). The English library has the matching 'Q&A' (2025FY_qa_eng.pdf, 8 pp, dated 15 May 2026, PDF created 15 May 2026), so it came out the same day. Neither news list carries the Q&A, so the dates are the documents' own. Earlier Japanese briefings have presenter scripts (説明文(ノート)) but no Q&A; those scripts are S2's supplementary material, not a Q&A. Every Japanese Q&A has an English counterpart on the same day, so 5. TOWA Integrated Report 2025 in English, 32 pages (October 2025), reporting period the fiscal year ended 31 March 2025. S7Progress against the previous plan, including misses, explained in English5/5

The English Integrated Report 2025 (reporting year to March 2025) has a 'Review of the Mid-term Business Plan I'. It sets the 2025/3 targets (net sales ¥60.0bn, OP ¥12.6bn) against the actual 2025/3 results (¥53.47bn, ¥8.88bn) and the 2022/3 base. It explains the shortfall by the market: the SPE back-end market fell 31.1% over the period while TOWA's sales rose 5.6%. It then reviews each segment with actual results (for example semiconductor ¥40.38bn to ¥39.53bn, new business up 48.9%, market share 59.3% to 64.8%). The English MTP II notice (27 Mar 2025) also opens with the review, saying the sales and OP targets were missed because of the market environment, and charts target against the 2025/3 estimate. Previous plan's targets against actuals, with the variance explained, so 5. Source document →

G4Executive remuneration structure and its performance linkage explained in English4/5

The English Annual Securities Report FY2025 (filed in Japanese 19 Jun 2026, English posted Sep 2026), section (4) Compensation of Directors, sets out the structure. Pay is a monthly fixed amount, a performance-linked bonus and restricted stock, with a ratio of 7:2:1 for all directors. The bonus has a company-wide part tied to achieving the net sales and operating profit targets (results ¥54,365m and ¥6,917m), chosen because they are the MTP's annual targets, and an individual part based on the division's and subsidiary's performance. It explains the coefficient tables and who decides. The amounts are broken down by pay type: inside directors ¥276.4m (fixed ¥177.5m, bonus ¥73.2m, stock ¥25.7m, 6 people), the inside A&S Committee member ¥12.2m, outside directors ¥28.1m (4). Re-checked 21 Oct 2026 under v1.1.1, which needs the weight of each performance measure in every performance-linked element: the company-wide bonus uses net sales and operating profit, with no weights between them or against the individual part; the 7:2:1 ratio is the pay mix Re-read in the English securities report (pp.56-57) on 23 Oct 2026, with the site back up: the bonus is set from coefficient tables, and the report says the individual indicators are hard to express numerically; no weights are given.
